A Christmas gift idea for Cougar fans

Looking for a Christmas gift idea for your favorite Cougar fan? Total Blue Sports has just released Cougar Converts, a 166-page book telling the conversion stories of nine BYU sports greats.

It's the perfect stocking-stuffer for the Cougar fan on your list! Read the conversion stories of BYU greats Ty Detmer, Curtis Brown, Scott Collie, Sete Aulai, Tom Holmoe, Corby Eason, Kresimir Cosic, Robbie Bosco and Shaun Nua, as told in their own words.

When we launched Total Blue Sports 10 years ago, our goal was to cover BYU athletics from a different angle than the existing media outlets at the time. Like everyone else, we cover the Cougars' performance on the field and on the court, but we feel that the most compelling aspects of BYU sports are often the personal stories of the athletes. Of the countless articles we have published over the past decade, the most popular pieces by far have been those that told the stories of BYU athletes away from the field or court of play.

Many of the athletes that have been most beloved by BYU fans were not members of the LDS Church. It takes a unique type of young man to come to BYU as a non-member given the university's honor code and stated mission. These young men with non-LDS backgrounds offer a wonderful perspective and contribution to both the school and BYU sports. In some cases, these athletes gained more than an athletic career and an education during their time in Provo; they also found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Unfortunately, our website and magazine do not always offer an effective medium for sharing stories such as these in their entirety. With that in mind, we decided to publish some of them in book form. We hope you will enjoy reading these stories as much as we enjoyed writing them.

You can buy the book here. Both the Kindle and paperback versions of the book are also available on Amazon.com (search for "Cougar Converts").
