The Grant family has been in Little Rock, Arkansas, with Abby as she is completing Chemotherapy Treatment #10. After this 5-day treatment there are "only" four to go. Abby took the time and effort to do a Q&A with our Zagirl, and for that we at GU Nation are grateful.
Zagirl: What grade are you in?
Abby: Third Grade.
Zagirl: Do you have a favorite subject?
Abby: No, but if I had to choose one, it would be Reading
Zagirl: What do you like to do for fun besides watching Gonzaga basketball?
Abby: Play Basketball.
Zagirl: I know your Dad played baseball at Gonzaga. Which sport do you like better, baseball or basketball?
Abby: I like basketball the best.
Zagirl: Who's your favorite player?
Abby: I like all of the Zags.
Zagirl: What was it like getting to watch the Zags beat Oklahoma State?
Abby: It was sweet to see the Zags beat Oklahoma State. It was really fun sitting on the court.

That's Abby, with the "Go Gonzaga" sweats in the front, in Oklahoma City's Ford Center.
Zagirl: If you could spend a day with the all the Zags, what would you want to do with them?
Abby: Hang out, play basketball and go to a movie.
Zagirl: Which Bulldog makes you laugh the most?
Abby: Ronny.
Zagirl: Did you get to hang out with all the players when you got to watch the Oklahoma State game?
Abby: Yes, I got to see them in the locker room after the game. They are so nice and cool.
Zagirl: What are some of your favorite Zag moments?
Abby: Going to Zag basketball camp, sitting courtside at the Oklahoma State Game, Ronny's hug before tip-off at OSU game, and David Pendergraft
asking me to wear his "Grant Me Strength" wristband for good luck during the OSU game.
Zagirl: How old were you when you found out you had cancer?
Abby: Eight years old.
Zagirl: Do you have any advice for other kids (or adults) who are going through cancer treatment?
Abby: Continue to live your life like you did before and be strong through the sickness.
Zagirl: Is Lance Armstrong a hero of yours?
Abby: Yes - he survived cancer.
Zagirl: What's it feel like to be admired for your courage in the face of a serious illness?
Abby: It makes me feel special because not too many kids get to hear that from adults.
Zagirl: Can you tell us about your Grant Me Strength and the Zag4Life bracelets?
Abby: We were in Seattle before I started my treatment, and we brought back some [Lance Armstrong] LiveStrong bracelets for our family and friends. A few of our friends came up with an idea to have some wristbands made for me. I
picked blue for Gonzaga (the actual color is lighter than we thought it would be), and our theme was "Grant Me Strength". We are selling the bracelets to raise money for charity and help others. We found out about the Zag4Life bracelets after we went to the OSU game, and my mom went online and bought some. I wear them all!
Zagirl: Here's one last question I've tried to figure out: Who's cuter, Dan Dickau or Blake Stepp?
Abby: They are both cute, and there are other Zags you could add to the cute list.
