Bulldogs Solidify Future

Posted Jun 14, 2006

A prolific scorer and a natural leader usually is how a guard is described, or a wing like Adam Morrison, but Gonzaga found a power forward that fits the bill, and he's only just finished his freshman year.

Is it possible for the best player in a state, any state, to be just a freshman? The answer would be yes in Brock Osweiler's case. The highly versatile and athletic PF was not only the leader of his basketball team (4th in state) but alternated at quarterback for Flathead High's football team. This fall he will start at QB. And Mark Few can only imagine how much better Brock will become as he progresses through high school over the next three years. Already at 6'8" 220 lbs, all indications point to the sky being Osweiler's limit in the Big Sky state.
