| Biography: |
| Jason Gardner is the heart and soul of the Wildcat basketball team. A starter since his freshman season, the senior point guard led the team in scoring with 20.4 ppg and returns for a legitimate run for a national championship.
Gardner has a good chance to become the first player in NCAA history to be selected as a member of all four All-American teams. He was a 3rd team member as a freshman, honorable mention as a sophomore and a 2nd teamer last year as a junior. He is expected to be a 1st team All-American in this his senior season.
Won the 2000 NCAA National Freshman of the Year Award and has twice been a member of the All-Pac-10 first team...Needs only 488 points to eclipse the 2,000-point mark for his career to join Sean and Bob Elliott as the only other Wildcats ever to do so. |
